About

The Student Diplomats program gives students a tangible diplomatic tool set they can use to enhance their professional development and success. At the heart of this diplomatic tool set is the ability for students to learn how to lead high-level bilateral dialogues, write diplomatic correspondence and treatises, hone crisis negotiation strategies, and foster productive relationships with global businesses and foreign ministries. Whether it's the foreign service or a corporate boardroom, our program gives members multifaceted strategies and experience that can help them succeed in variety of capacities.

GDS seeks to not only impact the Georgetown community through heightening discourse and exposure to the world’s most pressing issues but also to explore sustainable solutions with global implications. Consequently, GDS Student Diplomats will focus on long-term diplomatic projects with both foreign ministries and the U.S. Government, thus affording crucial insights into how diplomatic systems operate around the world and personal relations with key players in the international arena.
